Emotional Last Day at work..

My last day at work with the Dept of Health in Hobart was an emotional one for me. If it was not for the long drive everyday into town, getting up at 6.30am and not getting home until 6.30pm I would still be there. Everyone was excellent to work with and I felt right at home and made some friends along the way. We had a going away lunch at an organic cafe in Hobart which was quite nice and as a going away present I received from everyone some Lost Seed Company seeds and a gift voucher from a bulk organic food place in the city, Eumarrah. This was pretty cool and I cannot wait to get into planting the new seeds and having our own vegetables again. I will miss everyone.....
My new job had my mind boggled and blocked last week. I got to the stage on friday that I was zoning out in the afternoon and I think that all I was thinking about was relaxing, sitting down with a nice cold beer to finish the hard week off. And that I did......

We have made some amazing new friends here in Tassie considering that we have not been here very long at all. We have friends that live just over the hill from our block in Geeveston, Rebecca, Monte, Georgia and Matty. They originially come from Adelaide aswell, and were only 15mins away from us but we never met, it tells you how big the place is. We spend pretty much every weekend visiting them at least once or twice a week and have met a few people through them aswell. They are building a strawbale house aswell and are going down the same path as we are which is so nice to have people to bounce our ideas off of and get excited with.
Tao and Georgia have become pretty great mates which is so cute......they play so well together.
TAO AND GEORGIA....

L to R - TAO, GEORGIA, A BOY, REBECCA, AND KAI
Every friday or satruday night now for the last 6-7 weeks we have been going to an organic cafe in Huonville called Granny Lews, fantastic, down to earth place and yummy food, but unfortuately all our pockets are not that deep, so it meant that we all suggested going to someone different every week and have dinner instead.
Last friday night we all gathered at our house in Huonville. Jamahl and I made pizzas, and bruschettas and put on drinks etc.... We all had an absolute ball and Miranda and PJ have volunteered for next weeks episode...
As you can see we are not bored at all. Every weekend there is some sort of festival or fare on to go and have a look at or spend your money on. Consequently this weekend we did not do anything on the block at all and next weekend we will have to be bottoms up and heads down to get some more work done.
Have a great day everyone...
