Taos First Performance

What an exciting adventure. Tao had his first public performance for his Kinder, Illawarra Primary School. An art gallery in Salamanca Place was opening an exhibition about kids and Tao's deputy principle was helping in the running of it. The kids in the Kinder class had to do a performance and it was on TV. The kids had been practicing for weeks but to ask Tao about the performance before today he would not tell us, saying that he could not remember what he had to do.

Jamahl and I were excited anyway....oh yeah and Kai who also wanted to come along and watch. I took the afternoon off work and went along, it was an excellent exhibition with pieces of art and information from various schools around the South of Tassie.

The kids walked into the room in a line, dressed in all black and sat quietly waiting for their turn. They then got up in a big line and did their dance to music that was performed by some other kids in the class. What a sight, it was pretty funny and the kids did an excellent job, it brought a tear to my eye because I realised just how quick the kids were growing up.

Tao in the last picture is the 5th one from the right, Fran is his teacher in grey.
